Biography

Coming from an athletic background, I've been involved in fitness all my life! My journey started in Vancouver, B.C., with soccer, judo, boxing, karate, swimming, running, mountain biking, and pretty much any sport I could fit into my school studies.

My interest in nutrition began when I became lactose intolerant. I started studying natural ways to take care of my digestive health, and not long after, I was hired at a local health food store called Vital Planet. During this time, I studied supplementation, nutrition, biochemistry, and biology. While working at Vital Planet, I was introduced to RenewLife Canada, which carries a great line of products to help people with digestive issues. I worked for RenewLife Canada as a product demonstrator and consultant for close to four years.

After a few years of working with holistic studies, I started taking sports, rehabilitation, and fitness courses. I soon fell into personal training and became a personal trainer at GoodLife Fitness. I developed a reputation for rehabilitation, weight loss, digestive care, TRX, kettlebell boot camps, and enjoyed helping people live free of pain and restriction. At GoodLife Fitness, I not only worked with a high volume of clients and gained valuable experience, but my studies also advanced to an even greater level! It didn't take long for me to climb the ladder and attain Level 4 trainer status.

After spending 3½ years with GoodLife Fitness, I decided it was time to grow and seek out other avenues, which led me to Verity, a beautiful all-women's private membership club nestled in an old chocolate factory in Toronto. I spent six years working with some of the most prestigious, talented career women I know today, and I'm grateful for the experience and connections I made there. I specialized in physical rehabilitation, weight loss, digestive care, immune system repair, nutrition, fascial stretch therapy (FST), TRX, boot camps, and program periodization.

During this time, I started my own business, which leads me to you. What an amazing journey it's been so far! I've finally reached the moment in my career that I've been working so hard for. I've been in the business for 15 years now, and I am still loving it. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing your clients become successful with their goals, and I get to be there alongside them throughout their amazing transformations!

My clients include those seeking rehabilitation, weight loss, muscle gain, athletic training, injury prevention, posture correction, digestive healing, hormone balance, immune repair, nutrition, lifestyle coaching, and seniors' fitness. I work with a high volume of rehabilitation clients, some of whom are dealing with scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, kyphosis, lateral hip shift, lumbar and other back issues, piriformis syndrome, bicep tendonitis, brachial plexus injury, cervical spine injury, rotator cuff issues, frozen scapula, knee issues, joint imbalances, and many more.

What is Periodization?

Periodization is one of the most important concepts in training and planning. This term originates from "period," which refers to a portion or division of time into smaller, easy-to-manage segments called training phases. It is important to switch training modalities every six to eight weeks to prevent injury and plateauing.
